Given the lack of anything else to do, I have been reminiscing. That means I have been drinking.

Not as much tonight, though. Just long sips of bourbon and a few puffs of this cigar I've been saving. Hell if I care what security says about the risk of fire in space. Might be a mercy if fire took us all out, the way things've been going.

Though I have only experienced three incarnations of Doctor McCoy, and one merely in passing, none of you have evidenced any need of a charitable handicap, in any particular respect. However, if you are intimidated by the prospect of playing a game of logical progression against a Vulcanoid, I can grant you a mild reprieve and permit you to select your color.

Hustling, the active form of hustle. A verb meaning: to hurry or do with reasonable rapidity; to push or force one's way; to be aggressive in business or financial dealings.

I presume, however, that you are referring to the colloquial corruption of the term: to earn one's living through illicit or unethical means; to solicit a client; to part unsuspecting peoples from their currency.

I have only heard my native McCoy reference this term, though she was referring to locomotion at the time.

That is rather unique. The flautists play in a manner that bears striking resemblance to the method popularized by the musicians of Ara'Kahr. It is moderately nostalgic, in a purely technical sense.

The dancing, however, does not seem to encourage hustling in the least. Not insofar as the precise definitions of the word are concerned.

I do enjoy the garb sported by the accompanying dancers.

Hats are, in fact, a mark of high fashion. I do not indulge in them, myself, as they are against uniform code. However, they are quite fascinating as an artistic form.

Despite being Vulcan, and a scientist by self definition, I might have to debate this fact with you. I have recently spent a great deal of time on this network and I feel that the vast majority of the knowledge I have gleaned is, in fact, quite superfluous.
